Paint Projects

Domestic

Within Canada shipping is super easy. Pop whatever you need painted in a box with a bit of protection (paper or bubble wrap, please no peanuts or Styrofoam) and send it with your preferred shipper.

  • UPS and FedEx will have similar pricing and will take any size box.

  • Canada Post is the most economical but your shipping box has to be under 2.74m in girth (1xlength + 2x width + 2x height = girth) If you are using a standard bike box to fit within this measurement you will probably have to cut down the box.

When we return your project to you we typically use Canada Post, with full insurance. But in saying this we will confirm this prior to the return, if you prefer another commercial shipper we are happy to accommodate and will charge accordingly.

If you drop the project off or if the box you shipped your project to us in isn’t suitable, we will send your bike in a new box and will charge accordingly (Approx $45-$50 depending on the size of frame).

International

This is always one of this biggest questions our international customers have. How do I ship with you and not get charged duties and taxes?

  • The easiest way to do this is to send your project with UPS, we have a customs broker and a special import number that allows us to receive packages free of taxes and duties.

  • Fed-Ex is better for you? That’s fine but please send us a note with the tracking number prior to shipping. That way we can notify our Broker to clear the package.

  • USPS (or your National Letter Carrier) will be the most economical. So if this is your preferred option please clearly select REPAIR/WARRANTY on the shipping label and get in touch prior to shipping because there are a few other specification that need to be included on the label that, for confidentially reasons, we can’t include here.

  • To ship with USPS, your box can’t exceed a girth of 2.74m (1xlength + 2x width + 2x height = girth) If you are using a standard bike box to fit within this measurement you will probably have to cut down the box.

When we return your shipment we will use Canada Post / USPS and the package will be clearly marked a return, therefor you won’t be charged duties and taxes on your own goods.

If you prefer a commercial shipper we will use UPS. We do take all precautions when filling out the return label, to avoid duties and taxes, but we find with customs clearance it really depends on what side of the bed the officer, who is clearing your package, woke up on as to how the package gets cleared. If you do receive your package back with a duties and taxes bill you will initially have to pay the driver to release the box but you should be able to get a refund. (this has only happened once over the years, and we can’t be held accountable for UPS’s actions

Lastly when you create the label to ship your project to us (with either FedEx or UPS), simply create a return shipping label at the same time and we can use this for the return. If this is the case we do charge a handling fee for packaging your project.
